2002 vs 2000
I am new to porsches and I was debating between getting one of these
2000 911 16,500 miles 47k 2002 911 10500 miles 60k What I am looking for is a fun car that I will drive during the week sometimes as well as other times as well. I currently have a moded Audi TT. Just looking for some advice on the diffrence between the models and if the extra 20hp is worth the cost. |

It seems to me that the difference on the dyno is much more than 20 hp. I heard that the 3.4 put down around 240 to 250 on the dyno and the 3.6 puts down around 295. This may be wrong and is second hand info, but the source was reliable.
I have never driven the 3.4, but I have had an 02 and an 04. The 3.6 from my experience is very quick and I can not really tell a world's of difference between the 3.6 and my turbo. The 3.6 pulls very hard. The turbo is just kind of like all hell brakes lose and you concentrate on the tach so as not to bump into the governer so maybe the distraction makes them feel about the same. I dunno. The difference from 60 on is very noticeable as you have time to leave it a gear longer for the turbo to spool. Other than that, the 3.6 feels great and is awesome to drive. Have you driven both. On G-Tech, my 3.6 hits about 4.7 0 - 60 consistently. I would get the sport suspension though as the 3.6 feels a little floaty at speed, but it still drives much better than a TT (I had an 01 225). My other cars just happen to be set up better so I notice it.

I am leaning towards the 02 model at this point. Is there anything I should look out for? I have a few dealers in the areas who have some 02 models in stock low mileage.
