A/C Recharge in Central NJ?
 
I have an 87 Carrera and need my A/C system recharged - it is completely stock, so I assume it needs R12. I live in Basking Ridge.

Can anyone recommend a local shop - I would prefer to get this done on a Saturday morning, so taking to to a local Porsche dealer or Porsche specialty shop is a more difficult option.

I was thinking of taking it to a jiffy lube or something like that. Any thoughts?

Make sure they keep the lid down when they are charging the system. The rear condenser is cooled by the air that is drawn into the engine compartment.

DON"T GO TO JIFFY LUBE! DON'T GO TO THE DEALER.

Look in the phone book and find an A/C place, a recharge is very straight forward if:

An 87 takes about 47.8 ounces of R-12
