911 axles
Does anyone know the lenghths of the axles used in earlier 911s and 914s? I'm looking for a pair about 10mm shorter than my stock '72 parts. Perhaps 914s would be suitable or early swb 911s if they are splined for CV joints. Any info would be welcome.

Try looking at the 901 (not 911) trans cars -- up to '69.

914 Axles are ~515mm's in length. I'm pretty sure that's longer than what you're working with, plus the splining on the axles is wrong for your CV joint. Your best bet would probably be to have a set custom made.
