Got 30 minutes? That's what it's going to take just to read thru the history on the ex-Steve McQueen 908.

"8. Ecuador Marlboro Racing Team purchased the car and replaced chassis plate 908-022 with chassis plate 908/02#018 from their destroyed Flunder car. "

Why would they do that? Just curious.

I have personally seen and touched this car. Amazing karma...

Still...a few things to note:
- the report indicates a '' Flunder" body. This is repeated a number of times in the report. Thr true term is "Flounder".
- the numerous engine failures in Daytona for a number of 908's was due to the aluminum intermediate shaft failures.....
- there is still controversy whether this particular car is indeed chassis 22. There is a body of people who belive this car is still actually number 18, and is being presented as 22.

Wil,

The German word for Flounder is Flunder. Believe that since the car is made in Germany so the correct word might just be Flunder...

Well, the rest of the text is in English...."Flunder" would have no relevance in understanding, no?

Would a map we buy say "Moscow" or "Moskva" ??

Not bustin on ya..but what would "Flunder" mean in English text?
