What is the stock external oil cooler setup on an SC? I have been working on the front end and noticed that I have the "trombone" oil lines in the passenger fenderwell, and an oil cooler between the front bumper and the front trunk. The thing I that seemed odd was that there is a hole in the front suspension pan, and an electric fan that pulls air from the bumper cavity and blows over the oil cooler below.
Is that stock? I ask because the wiring appears "homemade."

The stock cooling is the trombone. The other thing that you are describing is the Air Conditioning condenser, not another oil cooler.
Or, at least that's what it should be. Normally there's a condenser in the very front of the car nearly horizontal behind the valance. There should also be a fan mounted in the trunk next to the washer pump and the battery that sucks air from a hole in the front of the tub and blows it through a ~3" x ~6" hole in the bottom of the tub. The wiring to that fan was known to melt if the fan went bad, so Porsche released a short wire harness that had a fuse in line to remedy the fire potential from when the fan went bad.
