Fuchs, Polished Rims with Cast Center Look
I had to cut my wheel and Targa bar refinish project short today to get my car back on the road. Finished polishing the outside of the rims but couldn't get a good day to paint the centers. The centers are currently bead blasted. I kind of like the look. Now I'm scratching my head at possibly painting them with cast aluminum refinishing paint.
![]() Is this a unique look? Anyone have any pictures of some finished this way? If so, how did you get the look: Paint or natural cast aluminum. Interested in options. On to why the project was cut short: I got into an accident with my '87 Landcruiser (my other obsession). F-250 turned right in front of me resulting in T-bone to his rear passenger side. Fortunately no one was hurt. Gratuitous carnage shot: ![]() (Recommendation: Don't pull in front of one of these old vehicles, the F-250 ended up totalled). Gordo

Sorry about the Toyota. Good thing about no serious injuries except to the Ford.
![]() On the wheels: Looks a little bland on a blue car. I think it would carry on a black one, maybe a few other colors. Just MO. ![]() |

Maybe too much dull silver / blue on the car (aluminum is a very blue metal as well). Looks a little like the dual anodized fuchs (polished-anodized rims & brushed-anodized centers) which rock.
What color is your car Gordo? |
