I think it's going to need a 2nd alternator...

Yet another set of lights ... I think it's a sickness. Yes, these are for my pie-in-the-sky RSR project that I was working on before certain other ladies came into my life (another '72 coupe, a wife, and a daughter).

This brings it up to H1 headlamps, two sets of the H1 Cibie hood mounted rallye lights, and Carillo H3 horn-grill mounted spotlights. If I put in 130W H1 and H3 bulbs, that'll be 1,040 watts across the front of the car.

I'm going to have to do some creative wiring to keep the entire car from going up in flames - and I should probably have my head examined - but my real question is, how the hell am I going to get my alternator to withstand this kind of abuse??

150-200amp alternator.
I wouldn't load the alternator much past 3/4 of max.
I'm not an expert....

For turning night into day try a 18k.
