Wheel Enhancement

I am interested in anyone's experience with Wheel Enhancement concerning bent or defective wheels. I bought some wheels from W.E., 6X16 replacements for 86 Carrera, and gave them a deposit for $425 to be returned when I sent in my old 6X16s. I waited for over a year to return them but when I finally sent them back they only gave me $225 saying one wheel was bent. They are going to return the old wheel so I can see it. I was concerned because I thought that both wheels looked fine although badly scratched and in need of paint. The W.E. salesman said that he can't straighten bent Fuchs wheels because they won't take anodizing (must be heated to be straightened).

If the wheel is bent can it be straightened and will it hurt future anodizing? Has anyone had experience with wheel straightening?
I had some VW alloys straightened and they were not heated. They looked perfect and were painted. Does the forging created added problems? Does anyone recommend a wheel restorer?
