How to post a pic??

Can someone tell me how to post a picture? When I am on the message page, I see the button for IMG; click on it and I get a box asking me for the text to be formatted??? What am I doing wrong?
Thanks, Ben

Below the text box on the reply page, you'll see an "attach multiple" option under the attach file row. This will open a new window and allow you to browse your computer's hard drive to find the picture. Make sure the picture is less than 100K, select the picture you want, and hit "upload now". Should be all you need to do!

Ben, it's not that slow. Open your pictures up in PAINT,,,go to IMAGE,,,then Scew/rotate (I think) and size them to about 40%. Then save then as a JPEG, andyou're off to the races. I had to figure this out, and I said about as many bad words as I'm sure you did!!!!

Westy, not the process...my brain.

AARRGH! I love these wheels. What are they??

ben parrish 05-04-2004 07:34 PM

Thanks. Cup's. I painted the centers...a-la-fuchs. I also left the center caps silver. Kind of a retro look with a modern twist.

Why is my pic so distorted looking? It doesn't appear that way on the screen when I view it from the hard drive. Any one?

It looks pretty clear to me, but i can't see the original. Did you resize the pic? That would probably change the quality of it.

Nice looking coupe, BTW!

Westy 05-04-2004 08:04 PM

Doesn't look distorted to me,,,,nice ride. And I thought I was proud!!!!

Thanks for the compliments. She has been a great car and I enjoy driving her more today than I did six years ago. It is fun to change the looks a little bit with rim changes and the addition of the Ruf front bumper. I am soon to change the rear bumper also.

Ben,

Get the freeware program Irfanview. It is vastly superior to MS Paint!

www.irfanview.com

Here is an edited version of your pic ... lightened, a bit more contrast, and cropped ... enlarged, and saved at a bit higher JPG compression ... all done in under two minutes!

I've never been able to post a pic -- the smallest file I can create with Adobe Photoslop (at 0 res setting) is always rejected as too big.

Any ideas?

Westy 05-05-2004 01:19 PM

I still say open them in paint. Sorry Warren. Do you have paint? Are you using Microsoft? If you don't want a download, see my post above. If you don't have paint, do what Warren said. He!!,,,it's free.
