help with speedo wiring on 84 carrera

l removed my guages for refurbishment/mods and although l made a detailed diagram of wire placement somehow l wasn`t accurate on the wire placement on the speedo.l`ve got the new Bentley manual but it`s not specific enough.To make matters worse the wiring changes from 84-85-86 etc.l`ve got SOME of the wires right(power,ground,illumination,high beam) but l`m stuck at the speedo signal wiring as there are several wires piggybacked onto each other.Anyone with an 84 who will pull your speedo out from the dash to look at the wiring will be a real hero and totally help me out.Thanks in advance for any help here amigos

thanks Rick,yeah l`m sure you`re right there,a pic would be very helpful for me too.lt`s kind of sad but although l can tear down a motor or tranny and build race cars l`m a bit of a newbie on the computer here.l really only got into it because of cars anyway,buying,selling,procuring info etc.But if it comes down to it l`ll get the pics up,it`s really something l need to know how to do anyways. l`m always doing cool mods on cars and l`d like to share some of that with other gearheads on these forums.thanks amigo.l may drop by for a peak at the factory books at a shop nearby here and that should set me straight.thanks again

Just thought it would be easier if I and others knew what to look for. I have an '85 and if I look at it a determine, from your info, that it's totally different I won't bother going further.
