seat belts

Aloha - this is my first post. I just bought my first 911, sans rear belts. Seems the new carpet guy needed them. I found a set on E-Bay for an '86 911. Questions is, are these compatible with my 1981 911. I have been reading this forum for about 3 weeks, since I bought the Swepco and shifter bushings from Pelican. My head is swimming. Thank you.

I believe they are the same up till '87 or '88 where a shoulder belt was incorporated into the design. You can also convert over to the newer design.
