More question on rear height adjustment
I am putting my springplate back with neatrix (nonadjustable type). I have 27 mm rear torsion bar. The car prior was about 24 1/4 in fender to floor measurement. I want to raise the car to about 24 1/2 to 25 in. How much change in the torsion bar spline would achieve this? Right now, I have set it about a five degree change. Is this too much?
Thanks, John |
You need to know total weight of car, especially weight on the rear. For default for a non-turbo car, use 40/60 weight split front/rear.
Then enter into the spring plate angle calculator software that Thom Fitzpatrick set up, using my math as a basis. The answer will come to you. The 25" or so rear height is "normal" Euro standard that the calculator uses already. Do a search for spring plate angle calculator plus either Thoms' or my name in the search. ---Wil Ferch |
