16" wheels on a 72 911
Does anyone know if I can put 16" Fuchs 6x16 on a 1972 911 without doing any modifications to the body?

I think you can. I've seen this done before. 16x6s for sure. Make certain you get an appropriate tire so you won't screw up your gear ratios.

I used 16 x 6 with 205/55/16 with no rubbing or any other problems.

Voila
![]() 16's 6's and 7's with 205 tires all round- sorry don't know sidewall but am sure it is standard tire for 80's Porsches. I would like to try 215's for rear as feel could squeeze some more rubber in there. But I may yet get some 'R' flares- saw them at RRII and they were much better than Carrera flares in my opinion hope this helps Ben

the problem with 15" is that decent performance tires are getting hard to find in good sizes.
i wanted to do 15" on my rs replica but went with 16x7's and 9's for that reason. actually alot of the "new" performance rubber is 17" and up only. i may be forced to plus up again.
