911 3D model
Hi all
Did you ever find a 911 body 3d model for cad softwares ?(autocad, solidworks....) may you give me a links Best regards Philippe France. |
i'd be interested as well
|
I am currently working on a solidworks model. I should have it done in a month or so.
Cheers, James |
I have an STL of an SC, but that's all I could find during my search a year or so ago. SolidWorks can now import STL files as a solid, but the faces are faceted due to the polygonal nature of the STL file.
James, shoot your model over once you're done and I'll run some CFD on it with CosmosFlow :) |
I often browse this database for models:
http://www.3dcadbrowser.com/browse.aspx Type "Porsche" into the search and there are 11 models or so of varying detail. I have not purchased any of these models, but that might change soon as I want to exercise my STL machine :) |
Thanks !
May you share jpachard ? best regards Philippe |

There is an old 3dstudio polygon model. I've been using it to plan my new garage and drive...
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1084268034.jpg You can get it here... http://www.3dcafe.com/asp/vehicles.asp Also, there are a few drivng sims which people have made cars for - and software that lets you extract models from games that feature porsches too. Take a look at the screen shots at... http://www.racer.nl/ and http://www.racer-xtreme.com/cars.php?bk=13 |
For what it is worth. For some money you get detail. See this:
http://www.xdyne.com/cgi-bin/2.0/3dcmpage.cgi?id=por911 Maybe we can buy collectively? |
that'd be cool...
I've got an ABS 3d printer at work...needs a little finishing when done, but makes a pretty nice model. sjd |
