One of the finest examples I have seen is The Gray Wolf. Can see it HERE

Pelican goes by cegerer on this board. Simply a fantastic 911.

Looking for pics of a coupe though........

I'm also thinking of doing the headliner rewd as well........but not the bright reed......the morew muted "blood red".............and the leather should be the perforated type.......think benz gull-wing

What do you guys think?

Svk

ps: these are the seats I'm ordering next week......

Dan - thanks for those comments. Here's a few more silver/red combos. Not all 911, but you might get some ideas.

Here's a black/red early coupe:

Curt.........

Was the red dash done that way by porsche in the day?

Also those recaro sport seats are so elusive......any ideas on who has them?

Wish someone made repros of them.....they wouls sell well.....

Thanx for posting pics.....(gorgeous cars)

BTW, I will definetly do my headliner red...but I'll keep my dash brushed silver to compliment my silver prototipo wheel....

Well, I'm sure it would have been a 'special order'. But the colored dash strip was 'standard' with the tan/beige interior as I recall.

Where to find real sport seats? Try the Early S board - there you will even find members of the 'Early Seat Police' who can tell you if every nut, bolt, weld and stich is correct!

http://d240157.u39.zeonhost.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=2

BTW: I love those repro seats. For perspective on the $2000 price tag ..... I paid significantly more than that for my original sport seats.

I think I'd like them better with correct early sport seat fabric. At half the price of the real thing, they would be a bargain if having the real thing is not that big of a deal. -- Curt

Hi,

Please post pics of early 911s in silver (1967-1973) with red interiors....

Preferably coupes with period correct interiors (recaro sport seats or stock seats)

I need them for reference for my restoration process.....

Ta-Da! Jeff Smith's silver 1972...everything red you see is leather, BTW...

And if I can pull it off, an exterior shot...

What year is your car? If the strip above the kneepad is aluminum, yours is a '67? If so, I'm really not up on the original color/trim schemes for that year. Maybe somebody here has an options list for '67, could give you the headliner and other colors?

actually my car is a 1968 911L !!

nobody can say for certain if it shipped like that or if it used to be basket weave

....but I like the look of the brushed aluminum better.....goes with my soon to be silver prototipo
