Thanks 4 help, - my image.
Thanks for all the recent help I have been getting. I am a new member that recently purchased the money pit below for $4000.00 and am going through a complete rebuild. Currently working on new front pan, entire fuel line upgrade and front suspension rebuild myself. I know everybody loves before and after photos, so I will keep you updated with some so you can all laugh. But I am wired about the car and the project, glad to be part of the team.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1084480824.jpg

1974, 911, 2.7 not the most desireable, but I hope I can make it that way. rather than ripping it apart, I am goint to take it a section at a time so I get through it.

I wouldn't say that the 74 2.7 lacks in desirability - of course, I may be a little bias :) You have the right approach IMO in taking a section at a time. Take your time, you'll never have a lack of things that you want to do or add.

Welcome!

Dude, your car matches your garage. Looks like you have a lot of room to work. The only suggestion I could make is to get some Porsche porn posters up on those walls. ;) Good luck.

Welcome aboard. From what I can see, it looks like you've got a good car to start with.
Side question: IRL as in Indy Racing League? |
They all look great in pics from a distance. We love project people.
I could do a '74 real easy. Might be my next 911. Here's to ya, irl. |
no reason why a 74 couldnt make a fine car if sorted correctly. welcome to the board and post as many pics as you see fit. Feel free to ask questions if you need to..this is a great place to get alot of valuable information. good luck!

I also purchased a money pit a little over a year ago--'77 2.7. This message board is invaluable--I still have the perma-grin on my face from all the info learned/used... Have fun!

irl,
Your ’74 IS a nice 911 and, when you are done, will be even better. Give us more details. How is the car equipped? What all have you found that needs attention? What are you doing to correct? What are the details of the engine and rebuild? More? You will find this forum full of Pelicans who DIY and modify extensively. I’ll bet we can spend YOUR money on YOUR project faster than YOU can. (Yuk, Yuk) All silliness aside, this forum has some remarkable talent available to advise and help you. Just ask. Best, Grady |
irl, looks like a great project. Check out the local (NoVA/DC/MD) BBS for additional support.
