installed cat-by pass..now idle problems

Could use some help.

i have a pretty much stock 81SC...everything has been running fine..installed a bursch cat-bypass. Took it out for a test drive..nicer sound....a little better throttle response.

Problem...when I returned...the car would stall or not idle when standing still.

I replaced the 02 sensor in the by pass pipe.

Again, it doesnt seem to want to idle when warm..has something changed...mixture? idle setting?

Any comments would be appreciated.

That's weird. Did that to mine a year ago and didn't have a single issue.

Thinking something else broke at the same time. Coincidence probably.

just to clarify...the 02 sensor was reinstalled after installing the by pass....it has not been removed.

I would check the wires going to the O2 sensor, sounds like one pulled out when you put the sensor back in.

Possiblilty it could be frequency valve relay just dropped dead? Unplug it and see if it runs any differently.

Good luck

sounds like the O2 sensor, unplug it completly and check for change.Probe a multiscanner into the green wire,or the only wire if it`s a non heated sensor and check for a reading.
