Found it...now what is it?

Reaching around behind my SC engine I came across a green electrical connector on the mixture control unit. It is not the (blue) CSV. It is seen in fig 2-5 0n p 23 of Wayne' Rebuild 911 Engines book. What is it? Do I need it connected if I am not running an O2 sensor or Cat?

Thanks.

Paul

It's connected to your air flow sensor plate. It's there to cut out the fuel pump when the engine stops unexpectedly, e.g. during a collision.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.

Thanks, Rondinone. I guess I'll make sure it is connected.
