Vaber Carburetors
As if the correct pronunciation of 'Porsche' hasn't been discussed to death, I learned today that the 'correct' pronunciation of Weber is Vay Bur !!!! -- Curt

In Deutsch or Italianish? Vay Bur may be fine north of the Alps, but I suspect that the Italians have a different name for it.
Those foreigners -- they've got a different word for everything!

I have this on pretty good authority - a former employee who pronounced it Vaber. Well that, and I don't believe the letter W is even in the Italian alphabet!
![]() Also, Eduardo Weber was born of an Italian mother and a German father! So get used to - Va Ber it is from here on out. ![]() |
