My ordinary 3/8" drive spark plug socket cannot come back up out of the #6 hole with a spark plug in it. I did not enjoy doing the reasearch that yielded this information. My (factory) tool, similar to Warren's in important ways but not the same, works perfectly.

I used the bubble gum on the end of a stick method. Strange, by the darn plugs just won't stay put!:D

I gotta say, I've always used the old duct tape, extension method. Decided to pull out the factory deal and give it a shot. Looks brand NEW!!! Anyway, it worked great. After 7 years... DUH!!!:rolleyes:
