Gas pedal stuck
When starting my 911T today the gas pedal got stuck down. I was able to pull it back out to get the car started and back home, but the pedal is actual pedal still seems close to all the way down even though its at idle. Coming home I was able to get up to about 3000 rmp with the pedal all the way down but couldn't get up past that. Anyone have any ideas what has come loose or broken in there. I tried looking at the actual pedal area but couldn't see anything right off. Thanks for the help.

Hi BSH, I would check your throttle linkage located back by the tranny. Sometimes the white plastic bushings wear, and make the gas pedal unresponsive to return, but will remain active on the down stroke. (this recently happened to me!)
Good luck! Nikita

I am trying to remove the bracket that supports the brake and clutch pedals on a 1972 -911. and gas pedal. I want to replace all bushings because the ones to the gas pedal have woren out. There are two studs through the floor board with nuts. There are two others that go through the fire wall. How do I get to the nuts on these bolts that go through the fire wall?

They are the bolts for the master cylinder. Go under the car, remove the protection plate covering the steering rack etc and you will see them. Just undo them, they are removed from inside the car.
If you want to make rebuilding the pedal cluster much easier take the driver side seat out. |
