hmm.. that doesn't look quite right. THe SCRS paris dekar car had a 3.0 MFI motor in it. Did they run carreras in the PD?

This one is the 1984 953 Rothmans car. It was formerly owned by a collector here in Denver.

That airbox looks like it's open on one side (no tube)

I find that funny since everyone here claims it suckes in hot air if that is done.

I woudnt think that for a car that i sbeing ran as fas tas thisone tat would be a magnified concern.

Rikao4, you can also do a search, pictures of various Paris/Dakar Porsches have been posted here several times, so you are likely to find lots of stuff in the archives, SCRS, 959, etc...

That #175 car was at Rennsport II. It had one of the meanest-sounding Porsche motors I've ever heard! I assumed it was a Paris-Dakar vehicle .... what other race would one run a car with that ride-height? -- Curt

Was that the Mathews collection ? I only visited once, but apparently after a large number of cars had been sold off in earlier years.

the actual intake part of the airbox probably go forward into the cabin...........for better dust "protection", anyone have rear int pics to back this up? it would make sense
