Looks to be a gag. If you go to the thread starter's signature there's a website link. On this website the "club members" cars are shown including this guys. They are definitely a notch above painting rotors.

Funny that non of the VW guys picked up on this.

Garage
This thread is as good as the one where I guy had new tires that were not looking new so he coated the tires with the black back spray stuff (silicone). It made the tires look new again so he also did the treads. After the accident he wanted to sue the tire company for poor tread performance. At least one is born everyday!

no no I don't think it is a gag. the guy finally replied and said something like, 'what's so wrong with it? I know the paint'll burn off and I wanted my pads to match my calipers'!?!?

I'm pulling over to let all black Golfs pass for a week or two. I don't wanna risk having that dingbat behind me.

also if you look down the thread apparently someone painted the calipers on their corrado WHILE THEY WERE STILL MOUNTED ON THE CAR!!! overspray everywhere! bling bling blitzed

More bling, less stop. Hmmm, maybe we should let him try a roadtrip on a deserted road by himself????

If you look at that website and the guy's personal page, it says you all've been OWN3D. I think it's a gag. I like all the photos of those guys with their cars on the tow trucks. That's pretty funny...and sadly, I have a photo like that.

A can of Krylon and a 16 year old with a VW or Honda is a recipe for disaster!

There is a great difference between stupidity and genius: Genius has its limits. Stupidity has none we can determine.

Bad part is, natural selection in humans has a habit of occuring after the "selected" human has already had the chance to reproduce thus passing on the undesirable genes

While discussing this very issue, a friend of mine once suggested we, as a society, should put contraceptive chemicals into beer - especially cheap beer.

Genius.

Other than the red calipers, that has me on the floor.

Somebody should suggest to this guy to lubricate the pads and rotors with high-temp grease or silicone. This way the paint will last longer

Hey - what's wrong of the picture of the truck repair, it's safe, can't you see the rock behind the wheel so it won't roll on him?
