Real quick 964 issues...

I'm looking at 964s and may/may not sell the 84 after I get one, but for a recap, the issues I am looking for are records of the cylinder head oil leak, and dual mass fly wheel--what else?

Distributor vent kit to prevent the internal belt from breaking.

By this time in their life cycle all the 964's with those problems shoud have corrected those 3 main problems. Its not worth looking at ones that have not had those issues addressed unles you price that in.

Thanks, those were the ones I was after!

Valve guides.

92 & newer C2's have 4 piston rear brakes. Not that it's really that big of an issue, but the 4 bangers are cooler.

I say go for it Kurt. 964's rock and the prices are looking very reasonable nowadays.:p

All the other 911 issues from valve guides to head studs are potential issues. There is no guarding against them save by a competent PPI.
