Quarter window removal?
How do you remove a quarter window from the body without removing the window from it's seal? I have to install a new trim piece between the bottom of the quarter window seal and the body. Thanks guys.

Assuming it is on your 88 coupe, you need to, from the inside, pry the rubber over the ridge on the body that retains it. Basically, using some appropriate tool, start prying the rubber up from the inside. Push the window outward while you are doing this. The rubber seal will eventually push over the ridge/lip that is on the body.
Then you just push the whole assembly out. Don't mess with the metal trim piece that is on the window/rubber/trim assembly, i.e., don't pop the metal trim out if you can help it. To reassemble, use the "rope trick." |
