More Rennsport pics

I didn't see these posted here, but I suppose they could have been, but just in case...

They are pretty nice pics courtesy of "Eunosbrain" from the miata board.

Just in case anyone was wondering...

Eunos is the name of the MX-5 in Japan, it's only called Miata in the states. (I think it's just MX-5 in Eu, but I could be wrong.

Interestingly enough, not only is the miata an overengineered, reliable, small, light, excellent handling machine much like the 911 and 356 before it, but it also shares a little more with Porsche.

Quote:
Rod Bymaster, Mazda's head of product planning and marketing for the Miata project back in the early days, claims his "biggest contribution to the project was to have found the word Miata in Webster's Dictionary, which is defined as "reward in Old High German."

Overengineered because the 1.6L engine was much like the 3.0L and 3.2L engine based on a much stonger block and heads from a turbo engine which is part of the reason for its reliability.

It's a cool little car, I'm enjoying it, but it still ain't no 911!
