"klote" tach
Starting the engine and the tach works fine but a few miles later the tach seemed almost dead. It points 1000RPM less as before.
Engine runs great all the time. When I put on the headlamps the RPM's drop also. What can be the problem? Maybe the earth connection?, I don't know.

CDI box going out? Before mine died it caused "drop-outs" in the tach.

It would help to know which year and model you have, but generally speaking, a lot of vague electrical problems are due to poor grounds (earths) and/or a failing alternator/voltage regulator.

just pulled out the tach and the ground wire was connected with another wire. These wire was connected to a little switche near the switche for the electrical roof?
I pulled this wire of the tach en went for a spin. I seemed the tach was okee now, but by putting on the headlamps (is going dark in holland) the same problem occure (RPM on tach drops with 1000RPM's). Saturday I check the ground wire. Porsche 911S '77
