Handy New BBS Upgrade - Help me test in this thread...
After hearing about people complain about not being able to resize and fit images so that they could be uploaded, I decided to incorporate a resizing routine into the website. Please help me test it.
The image upload feature should now allow you to post any JPG or GIF image of any size. It will reduce the size of the image on the server, and also constrain it to be 800 pixels wide or less (no biggie pics that crowd the screen). Try it out please - post your biggie images here. -Wayne |

Tried it a couple of times, kept coming back "could not find server"

Very nice feature Wayne!
That image was originaly 1600 x 1200 and about 864k. Now its exactly 800 x 600 and about 76k. Worked like a charm! |

Ok here goes, Image original size is around 1.3MB and size is around 1536x2048 Cheers Jakes Did not work, this is the error I got You attempted to upload a file totaling 1383957 bytes. This exceeds the maximum limit of 100000 bytes (100k). Please go back and select a smaller image. [edit] I did mine using the attach multiple option, if that is of any help. |

same pic saved as a huge 24-bit bitmap 2.25 mb. Using Xp pro and Explorer 6 128bits.
oops We're sorry, but you may only upload image files (with an extension of .gif or .jpg). Please go back and select a different file forget this one Wayne sorry :( |

I still get a message that it has to be smaller than 100,000.
