just a quickie....

interior going back into the 73RS after paint....headliner done and carpet will be shortly. My glass guy needs to order the front windshield rubber. What windshield can I use in the car that doesnt require the metal trim strip...is it a 964 windshield? I have been told that some people have re-used their old glass, but you end up with a poor fit, and it is recommended that you use the correct glass with the correct rubber. Also, what about the rear glass....can I use the newer trim-free rubber with the old glass as my electrics for the rear window defogger would be different.

Is the combination of the old glass and 964 rubber too tight? Or is it too loose? Any thoughts on the rear glass and rubber too? I want to make only original mistakes here...
