how do you clean oil lines question?

Hi All,
I have an used oil line that I will replace a current leaky one on my 78 SC. It's the line from the oil thermostat in the rigth wheel well to engine line. I don't know how it has been stored but the inside of the pipe looks dirty and the line mouths have not been covered. How should I clean this oil line out before I install it?. I have heard of shooting brake cleaner fluids through it and let it dry out, but I just want to check with the pros first. Thanks in advance for all your help. Andy

How about a shotgun cleaning kit with the long rods and stainless steel brush? You could follow that up with the pads soaked in brake cleaner to get the last bit of grime out. You can get a shotgun cleaning kit for about $20 at a sporting goods store near you and they do come in handy!

I didn't think of that. I have the snake that I use to clean my Thomas Bland in the field. Is using break cleaner right for this job?. Andy
