The factory manuels have an excellent section on the Zeniths. More complete than Haynes. Haynes only has tuning info. Factory manual also has repair procedures.

Do you know where to get the factory manuals or that section on the zenith only?

egbert,
Do a search on this system. I had trouble with my zenith's backfiring, spitting, etc.... and Otto from Venice Beach, CA was really helpful. I used his method and now they are working properly ( by no means am I an expert, but with Otto's advice and the Haynes manual I got it right.) You can ask me, but I am not sure I am the best person. Zenith's are a better carb IMO than webers, they have individual and tunable accelerator pumps for each bore and they have longer boosters for better lowspeed response. The real problem with them is the lack of performance and replacement parts, had they been better supported by the aftermarket they might have become more popular than webers. Haynes is a good source for info, I've never seen the factory manual.

Egbert,
Send me an e-mail webmeister@911t.org. I have zenith info that will be helpful. I'm out of town for the weekend but will send it on Tuesday when I get back.

I have some Zenith tech info as well-it really helped me. I wouldn't mind seeing what others have. The haynes manual is ok for tuning but not really so good in terms of how the Zenith circuits work.
