75 911 S Timing

Is 5 degrees ATDC @ 900 rpm correct for 75 911S-CIS?

(advance is disconnected permanently).

Garage
I set my '77 at 35 degrees BTDC @ 5500 rpm.

someone correct me if I'm wrong, but on the 75-77 2.7 cis cars isn't it a vacuum retard on the distributor?

due to smog in days of old more than one setup cam from the dealer.. I had the Calif stupid system, w/ same dizzy as everybody else.. I had great results w/plugging the vac hose and setting to Zero.. confirm the total at about 33-35deg, gas sucks in NY.

So about 0 degrees at idle, 33-35 at 5,500?

I'll try that today. I was not aware of the 5,500 rpm setting, I just rebuilt my engine, but I guess I need to do that.

Dwell angle anyone?
