1979 SC tach just quit
I just purchased a 1979 SC and have put about 250 miles on it thus far. It has many issues but just today at lunch I hopped in and as I drove off I noticed the tach quit working. It worked fine up until this time. I will did into it tonight, but I wonder if it could be as simple as a blown fuse? I have a Bentley book and I will check it out tonight. Does any one have any suggestions?
thanks

Could it be the cable came loose?
I had this exact same thing happen on my TR6 a few years ago, and it turned out to be a loose mechanical cable connection that drove the guage needle. But that sort of British roadster technology may be a bit antiquated for what an SC uses.

I am sure it is an electric tach not mechanical but thanks for the reply anyway!
