Center console comes apart?
 

I have a center console from an SC I picked up from someone on here. The old vinyl is brown, the vinyl in my car is gray. I actually have a bunch of spare vinyl from my car because when I removed the rear deck to install the RS kit and threw out the badly warped/cracked rear deck panel, I wisely cut all the vinyl off it. I want to replace the vinyl on the center console with the matching vinyl from my rear deck, but its unclear to me if the black pastic center portion actually can come off the outer lip of the console that has the original vinyl wrapped around it.

I don't want to try forcing it at the risk of breaking something.

Does anyone know how the part goes together?
