Porsche Crest 79SC Fuel Pump ??

I am pretty sure my 79 SC fuel pump went south. My question has to do with ordering one. I think I read somewhere that the 79 fuel pump check valve was inside the pump. If this is true, do replacement pumps come with check valves or must they be ordered seprately?

The 78 SC I worked on had the non return valve in the bolt assembly on the end of the pump. When I changed to the 930 type 12mm fuel line from the 10mm stock line, this valve was replaced with a 12mm hollow bolt with non problems.

Thank you, but I am confused. I pulled my pump and it does not have a external check valve. It looks like there may be one down in the output port. It would seem that without a checkvalve fuel would flow back into the tank unless the accumulator provides negative pressure enough to hold fuel in the line. I notice that pumps are specified by Porache model year but I suspect that has to do with a pressure specification or port size as you suggested above. Sure could use some help here. I know I don't have it exactly right. Maybe a check valve is no longer needed in this layout.

Answer to my question is if you order a pump for a 77-79SC you get one with a check valve in the pump. If you use another year you have to acquire a external check valve.

Pump installed. 911SC running well.

My Son is selling this on EBAY, its a rebuilt which can be a crap shoot, but it has the banjo bolt with the check valve. I think it is a later model pump than he thinks, but he lost the receipt, that is why he is selling it.
