tune up kit came with platinum plugs??
I just bought a PP tune up kit (part # RN-11SC8B) for my 1980 sc and noticed it came with Bosch platinum plugs number 4218 on the ends of the boxes. Is this a WR8DP plug or have they sent me the wrong plugs? I thought platinums weren't in the appropriate heat range.
Also, is 300F JB weld suitable for the pop-off valve installation? Thanks much, Graham

The kit comes with Platinum. The majority of the folks around hear prefer copper (cheaper and run better for our motors).

I complained about this when I got mine. You know how PP always sends a followup email asking if everything was okay. No response. I used the plugs supplied and they seem to work fine. I think that it should be specified prior to ordering that they are shipping platinum insead of copper plugs.

On the JB: I don't know, but the small 2 part epxoy kits are cheap and effective. Should be something suitable for plastic.
