My 911 turbo X50

I took a few pictures as some were asking to see it. Here they are. I'll be at Crystal Cove tomorrow morning if anyone wants to say hi.

Very nice indeed

Great plates too

Any mods, or is it bone stock, for now?

Bone stock.

I can't bring myself to try to alter the perfection. Any suggestions?

You are right, pretty hard to improve on those later model TT's.

There's actually a 996TT shoot-out happening this coming week, which is sponsored by Excellence. You might wanna keep your eye out for that Edition as there are a number of reputable Tuners entering highly tuned, monster HP TT's in the shoot-out

Seems fast enough for me Porschekid962. I haven't been beat yet. Maybe a Mucielago or Enzo, but not much else.

Upsolute has a chip to get it to around 520HP. Thought about it, but probably would just burn up more tires.

Imagine auto! call Stephen and talk turbo! This sounds like a good use for a bit of green.

Lifted from IA's web site.

When is enough a enough??? If you aren't sure this may be the way to find out. Imagine the spool of the K16s but the punch of the shuttle on take off. Think this is an exaggeration, think again. This kit starts with all the knowledge we have gained from kits past. 600HP use to be the norm it isn't merely a stepping stone after this kit was released. We use Garrett turbos specially machined into the K16 housings. We modify the factory wastegates and add all the normal goodies. Headers, mufflers, billet BOVs, air cleaner and a dose of GIACs magic. The result is a nasty 600+HP to the wheels. The owner of this quote realized a real 631RWHP and 649RWTQ. That is 742 crank horsepower and 763 torque at the flywheel.

Amazing stuff at Imagine Auto.

I like their "Valet Program" that limits speed to 30MPH. Now all they have to do is train them not to scratch and gouge and expect a big tip..

GFORCED, what's the boost response like in the X50? I'd imagine it's very torquey down low and reaches max boost fairly early on in the RPM range?

I'm toying with the idea of a TT setup for my Cab next year. "Mike the mechanic" has TT'd his Carrera and is seeing low 11s 1/4m times

You need PSS-9s and Stage IV GT upgrade from Imagine Auto and then it'll be perfect.

Its considered scary.

I do consider lowering it as it sits a bit high.

Yup, the raw smooth acceleration of a high-po AWD is awesome. It really gets the power down nicely, as opposed to a high-po RWD which tends to get a bit tail-happy when the boost kicks in rather violently

Congrats, awesome car

Don't need any upgrades because its so fast, but the coil overs is the right idea. May even just put some ROW springs on.

That is one of the coolest pure stock cars I have ever seen! Very, very nice!

What are 0-60 times and top end?

I believe 0-60 in 4.2s and a top speed of 305km/h, correct?

Top end is 197 MPH and 0 - 60 is around 3.7 to 3.8 seconds depending on who tests. I've seen it as low as 3.6.
