How Dansk Sport Muffler different? Dyno?
Internally, how is a Dansk Sport muffler different from the stock muffler 1 in 1 out? I'm not referring to the earlt style sport mufflers with twin outlets either. And has anyone dynoed just a muffler swap from stock to sport? The Dansk seems to be favored for it's reasonable sound and price.

Send an e-mail to "Danskman" here on the board. He's a rep for the company and will have all the information you need.
I put a Dansk sport muffler on my car. I wanted to preserve originality, but at the same time get a bit more growl. Frankly, I'm disappointed. The tone is just slightly different, but not enough to justify the expense.

I have a dual out SS Dansk sport muffler on my car.
Its loud. Its aggressive. Its obnoxious. I am Steve McQueen and every trip to the garage is a LeMans start! At idle and just cruising around under part throttle under 3500 rpm its fairly tame. Under full throttle over 3k rpm.... its screams and sounds like your flying down the Mulsanne straight. I have no idea if it actually adds any power.

I think you'd need to have a dual out to get any significant improvement in flow. On a stock type 2in/1 out muffler for headers/SSIs such as the ones Dansk sells, we've measured a 3-6% increase in flow on different 911s just by adding a tailpipe on the right.

Yes, i meant the stock type. The ones I worked with were stock oem replacement Dansk mufflers but modified with a right side tailpipe. There are some optional internal mods that could be done if desired for a little more flow. But going with a standard Dansk dual in/dual out sport should achieve the same effect.

Dansk SS 1 in 2 out + SteveW chip and broadfoot intake. I'm very happy with the look and the sound.
