I recently picked up a bunch of vintage R&T's to fill in the gaps in my Porsche reading, and found that there were a lot of really cool ads about and featuring 911's and related cars (like 906's
![]() First this classic Porsche Factory ad. I'd seen in in B&W, but it's much better in color. ![]() ![]() How many of us do this with our cars? ![]() And then there were the ad's that featured the cars but were for other products such as... ![]() ![]() ![]() And one of my personal favorites... ![]() I'll post some more as I find them.

Speaking of ads - I think the picture in this one is cool (having done quite a few laps at Road Atlanta):
![]() I'd like to use this as a desktop wallpaper thingie, but I can't find a nice high-resolution image. Anyone know where I can get one? Mike

Very cool, John.
I'd forgotten about AMCO. They were also a big supplier of tops and tonneaus for leaky Brit roadsters. (presumably needed to prevent wood rot on those shift knobs...) Interesting how those Contis also look alot like Pirelli CN36's from that era. Thanks again. ![]() Tim |

My personal favorate is the one from 1970 that reads " This year the T goes more like the E, The E goes more like the S, and The S just goes like H!" I will post it when I get home.

Compare the looks of a '76 930 with that '76 Charger. Classic beauty vs hideous uglyness.
Gotta wonder WHAT American car stylists were thinking in the 70s when they made ugly tanks like that. Especially when they made so many beauties in the 60s. |

Wow, Awesome. I miss my old R&T's from the late 80's. One of these days I'm going to have to get a bunch of old ones.

Anyone else notice the prices in the advertisement for the 911? Mine is a project and I'm sure I have more than the listed price into it. It's a good thing.

Hey! That's cool. I love vintage stuff like that. Even better b/c I happen to have that Amco 'aftermarket' shiftknob. And here I liked it only b/c its wooden LeMans connection.

My 70 S Targa sold new for $9,898.00 with sports seats. They were a $99.00 option! Like to buy them now for that amount!

we're gonna start that? the 300C is beautiful...so is the magnum...and if they have the proposed coupe on the same platform, "charger" will be reborn...(lots of styling cues from the late 60's chargers....)
