More engaging Drivers Car: 1984-6 911 or 1993-6 993?
After reading road reviews for my paper, writing about my findings I'm kind of left without an answer to my original question. The question I posed to myself was "Which car is the more engaging Drivers Car, an 84-86 911 or 93-96 993?". Speed doesn't matter, it's pretty obvious which car is faster, but the idea of this is supposed to be like the GT3 vs 2.7RS test.
So, I'm trying to solicit opinons:-D Which car, to you guys, who have happened to drive them or own them, is the more engaging drivers car? The older 911 with less gizmos and the familiar semi-trailing arm suspension, or the "Last Real 911" with fun electronic stuff and a multilink rear?

993 was made 1995-1998.
I'd say the '84-86 is a bit more engaging.

Given the choices I feel the more engaging car is the 84-86 Carrera. (85 to be exact
)

The original 911 gives the driver lots more feedback. Definitely more engaging for better or worse
Probably better, but the 993 is certainly easier to drive to work with a cup of coffee.

No cup holders in a 993! You would have to get a 996 for that.

Yeah, but it's still easier to drive and drink the coffee (or talk on the phone) in a 993, wherever you put the cup. Power steering (less steering feedback), lighter brake pedal push, etc. Heck, you can get a Tip and just hold it in your other hand.

I'd have to agree that the 84-86 is more of a driver's car. More feed back.
