ok so i got the guages, did the test and................
everything is in spec. so i start taking off the boot on the mixture control unit and i feel something loose on the back of the throttle housing, WTF??!!!. this little b**tard came out and was causing an air leak and blah blah blah yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is workspace and these are the guages that told me to look elsewhere if anyone in the area needs to check pressures come on by http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1086323855.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1086323907.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1086323924.jpg |
Glad to hear it was something so simple.
Could you do us a favor and post pix of how and where you made your gauge connection, for those of us who have been gaugeally deprived? Thanks Paul |
are you crazy montana? are you crazy?
|
its really simple actually. the guage is placed in line with the control
pressure gas line going to the FD. depending on if you have a valve open or closed and some other factors determines which system is being tested. |
that is a nice looking car. yay!
|
thanks

Which (of the several) little bastards was loose?
|
yeah i know, my pics are weak.
it was #34. on my car its actually a 90 degree fitting that goes into the throttle body. i didnt notice it till i got the rubber boot off and my worklight was shining through the empty hole. |
Ahh...that little bastard..wonder how it got loose?
|
im sure there was some kind of adhesive originally. i stuck it in there
and put a little dab of super duper glue on the edge. |
