Help find Strosek Porsche Pic

Back in the mid 80's I had a copy of a magazine - possibly CAR or Autocar which featured a customised 911 photographed in a snowy landscape - possibly a Strosek.

As I remember it - it was black, had the turbo flares - possibly even wider - but no spoiler. It had super clean lines and a highly tuned engine. I'd love to see a photo of it to see if it's like I remember.

Anyone know the one I'm talking about?

is it the same Strosek that's in the pic section (back pages) of BA's book?

I'm not sure - I haven't got the book to hand. I remember it being very clean though - not like the usuall over the top creations of the stylists in the 80's - Ice T's Gemballa springs to mind.

No, the thing about this one was that it was so clean. They might even have shaved the gutters off. It was just a really pure widebody 911 shape. Imagine a black turbo with cleaner bumpers - a bit like on a RUF, no rear spoiler, big wheels and you sort of have it. Actually it sounds a bit like Jack's.

Of course, I was looking at it through the eyes of a desperate 16 year old - it might not be as cool as I remember.

Go to Yahoo.com, just above the search box you'll see several headings, Web, Images, Yellow Pages, News, etc.... Click "Images" and then search for Strosek or Strosek 911. You'll find about 300 pictures that might have what you are looking for.

I may have a Strosek catalog at home. If so I'll post pics on Monday.
