23mm Master Cylinder upgrade

I am doing a Big Red upgrade on my 76' S.

I need ike to check some installation details fro the 23mm M/C kit.

What do i do with the extra outlet (green arrow), just plug it?

I wonder if I will still be able to use a power bleeder with this setup. It seems that the plastic elbow is just press in the rubber plug, which makes my wonder if it will remain there when the system is put under pressure with the power bleeder. I would like to avoid the mess of learning-by-doing. Any recommendations on this?

Also, I did not get the extended rod with the kit. Can anyone tell me how long should it be?

Thanks

The hole where the green arrow points needs to be plugged. As for using a pressure bleeder, it worked OK when I hooked it up to mine, but I gave up on it since moving the fluid through the "new" system was much easier the old fashioned way. Not sure on the exact length of the rod you need, but I can tell you that it was about 2" longer than the old one and it did not taper like the old one either. I can try and measure mine this weekend if that would help.

One more thing. The new MC is a tight fit and I had to pull the nuts holding my pedal cluster in place to get it in place. It needed approximately 1-2mm of clearance to get past the suspension crossmember and seat on the studs from the pedal cluster.

I was told the 10mm plug used in 914 brake calipers and filling the air injector plugs is the same plug needed for this conversion.

I have a few at the house if you need one.

I have completed the upgrade, except for the extended rod...and some f.. air which seems to be stuck in the system. I have bled a million times and still a soft pedal. I still have to bed the pads, though.

Jon, I will greatly appreciate if you could measure yours. Also, what did you mean by "it did not taper like the old one either".

Thanks

Why do you plug that hole? Couldnt you use one hole for left front and one for right front? Just ignorant curiosity.
