Black box-curious

Thanks for the great forum !
i Have a very intermittent hot start problem on my 88 row carrera,A kind memeber suggested replacing the dme relay under the drivers seat.
Had a look today and found a magazine size black box with multipin connector and a fuse on it.I then looked under the passenger seat and found a silver box with a large rectangular connector with a small black relay in front of it-is this the dme relay and the main control box,if so what is the other box under the drvers seat?
cheers

p.s have ordered 101 projects -so hopefully no more dumb questions !

Yes, assuming right-hand drive, the box under the passenger seat is the DME, and the black relay next to it is the DME/fuel pump relay. I'd guess the "magazine" box under the driver's seat is maybe a stereo amplifier?

Just make sure it isn't powering your existing speakers before you pull it. If you just hooked up a set of RCA cables (rather than directly wiring the speakers to the new deck) chances are that you are still using the amp.
