Lets hear some opinions on this one..

Have you guys seen this baby on Ebay?...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2480201256&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

What’s your opinion on it? Can someone take a stab at what it would cost to put some heat and ventilation (not ac) and a set of windshield wipers.

I don't like the slick ad style. I actually detest the no fear sticker. If they have never known fear, they have never tried hard enough!!! Everyone listed is an expert and top in their field but no documentation is offered to prove the claims. Maybe that comes later? This is not a "mint" 930, it is a modified 930 with all the name badging deleted and many, many parts changed. If you are looking for a screamer, check this out. If you want an original or re-done to orignal example, keep looking.

I dont care about the "no fear" sticker it comes right off. I think its an interesting car and I was wondering what it would take to make it a little more road friendly.

Is that a fabric covered dash???? I wonder how long that will hold up to direct sunlight?

Although it's for sale in CA., I can imagine a nightmare to pass smog in the state.

I like the car too. Our cars tend to be "cookiecutter", so anything unique is appealing.... to an extent.

No turbo lag since there's no turbo. God I hate those "no fear" Tee's - they have no business on any Porsche. Technically that's not a 930 anymore since it's N/A.

Maybe a "Big Johnson" sticker next? Advertise you're socially crippled.

Need a razor blade to clean it up. Other than that, nice car, hope the pricing isn't too far from the opening bid, otherwise think twice.

I like the shaved door handles, the color, and the wheels a lot. I wouldnt pay a dime for the interior and the no fear sticker doesnt deserve any commentary. Is that a Hurst shifter? Good thing is that the cheesy stuff on the car is easy to undo.

The engine sounds awesome, but I would want documentation or receipts for the rebuild. Is that a FRAM? Why didnt they install the heater block off plates if they deleted the heat? I doubt he kept the receipt for the $25k paintjob lying around for the wife to find, but Id ask for that one as well.

Overall, its a pretty neat car. Barebones, lightweight, big engine, big brakes, fat flares. I would have done a few things differently, but at least the car hasnt been ruined with a cheap batmobile body kit. $17k with 8 days left. I wonder what it will go for...

Couldn't agree more. Here's the nose from one of my old race cars:

That being said, it's about a 10-second job to zip the sticker off. I really like everything else about the car, especially at the current price, but I'd sure want to see & drive it in person first.

Ruf wheels are beautiful, but they are not forged, they are heavy, rare and expensive. What if you need to replace one?

I think it would look better with the Porsche reflector on the back.

I don't care for mis-matched seats.

Lose the sticker.

This is one of the cars that would look good with clear front indicators.

It IS a great looking car.

At 300 ponies - bet it's a blast to drive -

looks like a fabric covered dash and a hurst shifter

Definitely something I would want to crawl around and drive for a few hours before they seperated me from my $20K...

This is a non-turbocharged engine breathing through 2 triple-throat Weber 46IDA carburetors to eliminate turbo lag.
Someone has finally figured out how to eliminate turbo lag once and for all. It was so simple, how come nobody thought of it sooner. JUST ELIMINATE THE TURBO.

You have to wonder if the motors and switches are there too...

This car will not pass smog in California due to the engine modifications. If you wish to make it smog legal in California, you'll need to use a different engine or wait 4 years until it's exempt. It has a Nevada title. Don't say I didn't warn you.
You have been warned.
