In case you were wondering if you needed an AC Hydraulic Jack...

Found this pic from my archives. In and out of the truck in one swoop.

Yeah, but if you lowered the truck and added sway bars, then put on low profile tires, gave it a significant rake, then,,,um,,,well,,,never mind.

What is really strange, at first glance that fan looks like it is moving.

A Porsche powered Pathfinder! How cool is that?

Did you decide that would be a better engine swap than a Ferarri?

Nice jack but the method looks scary. How did you get it onto the jack and balanced?

Could've also used the jack to lift the front of the Pathfinder so that the motor would slide right onto that soft, balloon-like muffler!

Hmmm, the way Porsche should have built the Cayenne?

Wayne 962 06-07-2004 06:42 PM

First of all, I would have liked to have seen the Cayenne built like the 1st generation Hummers - a vehicle designed for it's purpose with no compromises. Instead they designed a soccer mom car that goes fast.

I got the engine out of the truck by myself using the jack and a folding table as a ramp. Worked reasonably well. With one person steadying the engine, you can simply pull it out of the truck, sliding it forward on the rubber mat.

And what, pray tell, is this going into? Or did you just want us to see your jack?
