Anyone in the Tampa Bay area have a spare dizzy?

Does anyone in the Tampa area have a spare dizzy from a 80 - 83 SC that I can borrow until I can get mine rebuilt? Or does anyone know of a place in the Tampa to Sarasota area that can do a rebuild with quick turnaround?

Thanks for the info. I work in Riverview, which isn't too far from Tampa. Is there anyone on the board who is from the Sarasota area? Where's a good shop/source for emergency parts in Sarasota?

Thought I should give this a bump. Still trying to find a distributor for my '80 SC in the local area. A guy in St. Pete think he knows where to find a used one, but he can't get ahold of the owner. I'll put a post on the classifieds, but does anyone out there have a dizzy they want to sell? Or know of another source around this area? s2per, I tried Dave at Specialty Imports, he gave me the name of someone else and so on and so on.... I've been passed down to several different people. Desperately need to get my car running, but still not ready to fork over $800 or more for a new one and don't think I can wait a couple weeks to get mine rebuilt by Pelican.

You might want to try Rick's European in St. Pete for a used one...it's a Porsche, BMW, Benz junkyard. Last time I checked their phone was: 727-546-5207 . Hope this helps.

I'm in Atlanta, but I have a good used distributor off my 83SC. I recently switched to electromotive, so I don't need it anymore. Willing to sell if you want it.

I've already talked to Dave White and Dave Panaccione. Rick's European thinks that they have found one for me, but they can't get the owner to call back. If they don't have something firm today, I'll send you a PM, so I can buy your dizzy, DCobra.
