strange tool kit, odd items in it
Ive had this for years...I dont even remember which car it came out of. It is a Blue tool kit, but its not really a tool kit, it has spare drain plugs, spare valve spring, 6 spare BERU plugs, 3 spare plug connectors, valve tappets and jamb nuts. Original belt, even has spare valve guides. Has a leather strap...If I knew how to post photos I would.Thanks-Bill Woods

without pics, hard to tell...but I believe you have what is/was known as a "travel kit". Contains parts Porsche felt you should have with you in the case of a breakdown. A breakdown that allowed you to reach a competent mechanic, but not one who had quick access to a parts source. These are worth a buck or two...I have one for my car, have had offers worth more than the parts it contains. (edit) Some research on the plugs should give you a clue to the car your kit was designed for. My kit has Bosch platinum "S" spark plugs. Beru? I dunno...

how does a dunce like me post a picture? Last time I tried to send pics, I tried to send 20 4 meg pics to a guy.

Wish I could tell you. But count me among the computer illiterate here. Does your kit still have it's original cover? A plastic bag with a sticker carrying a parts number? If so, that would help you...a lot.

its got the parts, the smallparts, still in the Porsche plastic, but the bag itself has no cover...the Beru plugs are cool, they are purple! Thanks for your help! Bill

They were done away with by 1975 Probably worth some bucks for folks wanting to concours their car AFJuvat |

Then, enter your message and scroll down to the "attach File" line, and click on "attach multiple". That just means that you can keep using that button to attach multiple pictures if you want to. Before you click on the "Attach Multiple" link, make a note of what kinds of files you can use (gif, etc.) Be sure your pic has one of the file extensions at the end of it's name. If you take it with a digital camera it will probably be a jpeg, or almost certainly one of the others. This will open a new small window, where you can search your hard drive to get to the pic you want, then click on the "upload" button. Close that window when the upload is done. Then, back at the original page, you can either send your message or preview it first. So, let's see some pics! |
