wheel balance question
I put new front wheels (7X16) on the car -- good tires, swapped from the old wheels (6X16). The new wheels were balanced in the shop, but there's a strong steering wheel vibration above 60 mph. Below that, it's fine, leading me to believe the wheels just weren't balanced correctly the first time. I'm going in tomorrow to have them rebalanced by a better shop, but is there anything else I should look for? I assume if the wheels weren't true, it would be clear at lower speeds.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

One wheel could have a slight bend in it. I had this problem and it was only noticeable above about 60mph.

Ususally when it appears over 55 MPH it is a balance problem. Try to find a tire store that has the Hunter road force machine that will check for tire runout and broken belts.

Does this machine balance the wheels while on the car?
