Since Kelly Blue Book does not go way back, is there any online information on valuation for early 911's? Or do you just go to all the various sites that have used Porsches for sale and try to come up with an approximate value for the one you are interested in?

It depends.
Do you have one that you're selling?

Excellence Magazine has reports from Bruce Anderson. FYI pricing is hard to determine since the conditions and originality of early cars vary so much.

There is www.nadaguides.com
These are price GUIDES. They are not absolute numbers. And the Excellence numbers generally are about making the 911 owners feel good. They are generally on the high side, at least for the Bay Area. The rule is that the car is worth what one guy will pay for it. Cheers, George |

If you go to the early911sregistry and the 911tregistry sites, you can find the Bruce Anderson numbers from Excellence. Sorry for the smart ass remark, but, really, are you selling or buying?

If you are buying, stay away from the excellence numbers.
![]() KBB goes until 84, even those are horribly low. I haven't checked nada recently, but I bet they are lower than excellence. Acutally, I was surprised about the pre 74 cars in excellence. They sure seemed very affordable. Like 10k for an E? George |

The nada numbers were in line with the price. I need to add in upgrades and take a stab at the refurbishing costs. Distance to transport or drive is a sizeable factor now also. The hard part is figureing things like the engine is not stock but upgrade, so it would not be as desireable to someone looking for a "stock" car, same with the upgraded seats, steering wheel , etc. I guess I have to set in my mind what I want it for, future sale or a car that I enjoy now. I tend to lean to the latter.

Edmunds.com has what they call a used vehicle appraiser. I used it to go back to '85 recently. I don't know how far it goes back

He's low on the early cars but high on SC's & Carreras. A 'poor' condition SC for $12,500? No thanks.

I think BA hasn't bought or sold a 911 in a decade. Last I saw him, he was driving a brand new A6 or A8, I don't remember. From all I know, he would be better off putting together an Audi price guide.
